Easy to assemble, crank up and down, etc. But I live in monsoon area of open desert and it blows over (when fully closed) alot. Don't forget to order weights or sandbags. This review is from: Bond 65382 10-Foot Offset Umbrella, Taupe (Lawn & Patio) This is a great umbrella. There really was no assembly required, and it was simple to set up. Although it comes with a base, it does NOT come with anything to weigh down the base, which is required. In my case I bolted it to our deck.
