The first one we bought while living in Australia and we loved it so much we brought it over her to America. Unfortunately the crank cable broke on that one so we needed a new one. We decided to "go big" with this one (we are in America afterall). I'm glad we did. The material is ideal for summer days. It lets enough light and air through that you don't feel like you're huddling in a tent. It also doesn't want to blow away because wind gusts pass through it. Great sturdy umbrella. The fabric is woven and therefore lets the sun still shine in. You would have to wear sunglasses while sitting under it. I liked the large size but not the material.
